February 2026 Product Marketing Update

This month’s updates are all about making complex schedules easier to read, easier to share, and easier to improve—without adding extra work for your team. Here’s what’s new in Planera.
Inspect Path, Now Clearer and More Powerful
Inspect Path is now an upgraded full-screen Canvas experience that makes it easier to see what’s truly driving your schedule.
Driving relationships are clearly highlighted, and you can apply filters and view float paths directly within Inspect Path—without jumping back to the main canvas.
Why it matters
- Instantly identify which activities are driving downstream work
- Investigate schedule issues without losing context or place
- Move faster through root-cause analysis during reviews
Clearer, More Readable Schedules (Right Out of the Box)
Double-height activities for new projects
All newly created projects now use double-height activities and tasks by default.
Why it matters
- Makes dense, complex schedules easier to scan
- Improves visibility of relationships and logic
- Reduces visual clutter in large networks
Better Schedule Quality Report
We’ve made several improvements to the Schedule Quality Report to help you improve scores—even when you’re technically “passing.”
What’s new
- Missing Duration is now included in the quality score
- You can inspect passing, non-zero items to proactively improve quality
- Clearer language across the experience (including “View Quality Report” and updated report headers)
Why it matters
- Catch issues earlier, before they become risks
- Improve quality scores beyond the minimum threshold
- Spend less time guessing what actually needs fixing
Share Exactly What You’re Talking About
You can now copy a link to any element—from Canvas, Gantt, or Table—and share it with teammates.
Why it matters
- Call attention to a specific activity, task, or milestone
- Speed up reviews and async collaboration
- Reduce back-and-forth and “where are you looking?” moments
See Critical & Float Paths More Clearly
We’ve improved float path visibility on the Canvas by applying a thicker border to activities on critical and float paths.
Why it matters
- Instantly spot what’s driving the schedule
- Better visibility in complex networks
- Less ambiguity during reviews
Capture Better Context on the Canvas
The Canvas text widget now supports:
- Bulleted and numbered lists
- Checklists (with check/uncheck)
- Strikethrough formatting
Why it matters
- Add clearer notes and assumptions
- Keep context close to the schedule
- Make plans easier to understand at a glance
Add Numeric Project Metadata
You can now create number-type organizational fields in Tabular View—perfect for things like contract value, square footage, number of units, etc.
Why it matters
- Track meaningful numeric data alongside schedules
- Sort, scan, and compare projects more easily
- Keep key context in one place
Fewer Noisy Emails
Field Schedule state change emails are now sent only to Project Owners.
Why it matters
- Fewer inbox interruptions for the broader team
- Notifications go to the people who need them most
- Less alert fatigue during active planning
Thanks for building with us. As always, we’d love your feedback.
